A special choir will be formed for the day, involving members of The Barnes Choir and you, our guests. Our musical director, Julian Collings, will be working intensively with us on the music and will provide performance insights, and we will be accompanied on the piano by Elspeth Wilkes.

We will be working from the New Novello edition, and scores can be hired for the day for £2.
Singing tickets for guests will be £20 and details of how to book will be announced shortly.

Barnes Choir 2017

We are an amateur choir of around 55 voices and are celebrating our 70th Anniversary Season in 2022/23. We have a formal concert three times a year and also take part in local musical events.  We perform mostly classical music with professional singers and orchestras. A regular feature of our programmes are works by young composers, such as Russell Hepplewhite, whom we have commissioned to write a piece for the 10th Anniversary of the Barnes Music Festival, and local composers such as Howard Goodall.  We support local charities, including the Holly Lodge Centre and the Mulberry Centre.

We have a varied social programme, including an annual Quiz Night, a Summer Party and a Christmas Supper at a local restaurant, after carol singing in Richmond Station. A few of us can be found after rehearsals at the Pig & Whistle in Sheen Lane!

We welcome new members. We rehearse on Tuesdays from 7.45pm at All Saint's Church, East Sheen Avenue, SW14 8AX.
